Home of escape room enthusiasts and the largest database of massive escape game discounts
Nintendo is making a real-life escape room from their amazing Zelda game. This isn’t going to be a classic get out of the room experience, instead teams of six have to solve a mystery, within a time limit.
“The experience will let guests interact with classic items and characters seen in The Legend of Zelda series like the Goron, Zora and Kokiri tribes. Discovered items can be used to solve puzzles and move forward into other areas, just like in The Legend of Zelda games.” said Nintendo in a press release.
If you are not familiar with the game, there’s still time to catch up with the story line, in order to be able to participate and enjoy this awesome experience.
The game, takes place in Hyrule. Princess Zelda was kidnapped by an Evil King called Ganon. He is obviously the king of the DARK WORLD, so basically he is the bad guy. Zelda managed to shatter the Triforce of Wisdom before she was taken, and you have to find the pieces all around Hyrule. The main character is called Link, you have to help him to collect the pieces and punish our villain Ganon. Not bad, right!? There are 23 different stories about the legendary series of Link and Zelda and other characters.
Once we wrote about escape rooms in the movies, now it's time for them to go to your town.
The real-life Zelda tour is going to take place in 8 U.S. cities, namely in San Francisco Jan. 31-Feb. 5, Los Angeles Feb. 10-12, San Diego Feb. 24-25, Phoenix Feb. 15-17, Seattle, Houston, Chicago and New York, the last four dates will be announced later. I recommend frequently checking out the official website on this LINK.
The tickets are prices from $35 early bird tickets up to $55 and you get an additional premium poster and premium Defenders of the Triforce coin. Note that the first 4 events seem to be sold out, so you have to be quick purchasing your tickets for the remaining ones. If you still miss this popular live event, and you are around these locations, you can browse our website for more opportunities for classic escape rooms.
